Chapter 2: Bark of Justice

 

The golden rays of the setting sun bathed Omega City in a mellow warmth. At a quaint corner café, nestled between the university campus and the central market, the air was filled with the aroma of roasted coffee beans and laughter. This was Professor Chetan Ram's favorite place—a small haven where intellect and casual banter intertwined.


Chetan Ram, fondly nicknamed "Chotu Ram" by his students and peers, sat at his regular table by the window. A midget by appearance but a giant in wisdom, his words often carried more weight than a thousand books. His audience today consisted of a group of bright college students, eagerly absorbing his tales of scientific wonders, historical enigmas, and philosophical questions.


As he took a gentle sip of his masala chai, the café's entrance rattled open. The laughter dimmed as five burly goons strutted in, their presence suffocating the room like a bad stench. Tattoos, chains, and loud voices—they were the kind of people who thrived on fear and attention.


"Oye, look who's giving a TED Talk—Omega City's baby-sized Einstein!" one of them jeered, drawing cackles from his gang. Chotu Ram didn’t flinch. He merely adjusted his glasses and took another calm sip. The students looked uneasy, unsure whether to intervene or stay silent.


Things turned worse. The goons shifted their attention to a group of girls at the next table. Catcalls and inappropriate remarks filled the air.


Just as one of them leaned too close to a girl—


A loud bark pierced the tension.


Heads turned.


At the café's open entrance stood a figure cloaked in shadows—Dogesh. Dressed in rugged combat gear, his eyes hidden behind a visor, he looked like a ghost out of a warzone. But what stood out
